PREZ` MESSAGE

We are quickly approaching the end of another ski season. If you are like me, you hate to see it come to an end. Unfortunately, this hasn't been one of the best local seasons, here in North Carolina. For those of you who traveled across the country, it's been a different story. They are having a banner year in the western part of the country. Hopefully, you have some great memories from your days on the slopes during 2007-2008.

I am going to keep this message short and sweet.

Now is your chance to have a bigger influence on the direction of the club. We will be holding elections for officers at our March Meeting. The meeting will be at the Legends Club House (where we met in October and November). If you have good ideas for the club or desire to play a bigger role in our decisions for the coming year, this will be the perfect opportunity to get involved. Come to the meeting and run for office.

I, personally, would like to see more community involvement from our club. I know we are a snow sports club, but we all live in this community. Most of us are relatively healthy. Why don't we volunteer to do something in the community, like work on a Habitat For Humanity house. That's just one idea. You may have a better one. We will never know, unless you make your voice heard.

Make the most of these last few weeks of skiing and for the rest of the year for that matter.

Spyder Jackets and Pants!

We are ready to help you "gear-up" with Spyder Jackets and Pants!

The Catawba Valley Ski Club is putting together another Spyder Jacket/Pants Order.

The jackets are black with red accents/trim. They include our club name on the front and our logo proudly displayed on the back.

-Spyder Jacket with zip-off sleeves and elastic waist band

-Spyder Jacket with zip-off sleeves and drawstring hem

-Spyder Jacket with under arm vents, drawstring at the waist and longer hem

All jacket styles are only $220.00 each and are loaded with features. These are jackets that would normally retail for twice that amount! Spyder Ski Pants are also available. They are available in 2 styles and colors. You can choose between pants with or without suspenders in red w/black accents or black w/red accents:

-Spyder Pants with suspenders in red with black accents

-Spyder Pants with suspenders in black with red accents

-Spyder Pants without suspenders in red with black accents

-Spyder Pants without suspenders in black with red accents

The Spyder Pants with suspenders are $160.00 and the pants without suspenders are $150.00.

Please go to a local ski shop to test sizes. Spyder Wear tends to run a little big. You will want to be sure of the size, because we can not return these custom made items.

Payment (in full) is due at the time of the order. Please have your orders and checks (made out to CVSC) to Tom Rigsby on or before the March Club Meeting on Tuesday, the 11th!
